Weekend- wedding and large social events package

Weekend hall hire commences 1pm Friday, includes all day Saturday until midnight and requires full vacation at 1pm on Sunday.

Cancellations –  a non- refundable deposit of £200 is required when the booking is made. If the hirer wishes to cancel the booking before the date of the event and, as a result, the Trustees are unable to re-let the hall, the following amount will be charged (less the deposit):

  • 25% of the hire fee for cancellation within six months of the date of hire;
  • 50% of the hire fee for cancellation within three months of the date of hire;
  • 100% of the hire fee for cancellation within one month of the date of hire.



  • The hall is available to hire from 8am -11pm Monday – Friday and Sunday, with music finishing at 10.30. On Saturdays, the hall is available to hire from 8am -midnight with live music finishing at 11pm and playlists at 11.15pm. All guests to leave by 11.30pm and everyone off site by midnight.
  • All hiring fees and deposit in lieu of damage or breakages are required to be paid within ten days of confirmed booking.
  • Barcombe Village Hall does not have a permanent licensed bar.  To comply with the Licensing Laws the Trustees MUST first be notified if you intend to operate a paying bar as there is a limit to the number of certain permitted annual licences. 

Sale of alcohol comes under the Hall’s Premises Licence and you will be asked either to sign an Agreement to use the Hall’s own Licence, or to apply to the local authority for a Temporary Event Licence (TEN).

  • It is important that all hirers read carefully the Conditions of Hire, sent out with booking forms
  • The deposit cheque is required as security against any damage. This will be held until after the hire date and destroyed provided terms and conditions are met.
  • The main hall is licensed to hold no more than 130 people seated in rows and 120 people seated at tables.
  • Parish residents means those hirers who are resident in the Parish of Barcombe and for whose benefit the booking is being made.






Bookings for weddings in 2023 will be taken from January 2022
